Ecofriendly High NIR Reflectance Ceramic Pigments Based on Rare Earths Compared with Classical Chromophores Prepared by DPC Method

چکیده
A high NIR reflectance ceramic pigments palette based on rare earths except black (La,Li-SrCuSi4O10 blue wesselsite, Pr-CeO2 red-brown cerianite, Mo-Y2Ce2O7 yellow cerate, Sr4Mn2CuO9 hexagonal perovskite) was compared with the coolest traditional prepared by dry powder coating (DPC) to obtain “core-shell” (Co-willemite blue, Cr-franklinite brown, Ni,Sb-rutile yellow, Co,Cr-spinel black). Adding CaCO3 as a binder, normalized at L* = 85, 55 and 30 for brown blue-black powders, respectively. Rare lack intense absorption bands in range therefore its show higher reflectance, but measurements smaller differences even have an inverse result pigments. The pigmenting capacity stability study different media that of cool earth is lower than DPC classical pigments, case Pr-cerianite pigment.

Photoluminescence studies on rare earth titanates prepared by self-propagating high temperature synthesis method.
The laser-induced luminescence studies of the rare earth titanates (R2Ti2O7) (R=La, Nd and Gd) using 355 nm radiation from an Nd:YAG laser are presented. These samples with submicron or nanometer size are prepared by the self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) method and there is no known fluorescence shown by these rare earths in the visible region. Hence, the luminescence transition...
متن کاملSelective NIR chromophores: bis(pyrrolopyrrole) cyanines.
New applications have recently led to an increased interest in near infrared (NIR) dyes. Both, strong NIR absorption and fluorescence emission are important phenomena. While fluorescence is exploited especially for labelling purposes in microscopy, NIR absorption has a broad range of applications mainly in material science. Examples of growing fields of interest are NIR light emitting diodes an...

Low-temperature neutron diffraction data on a ceramic sample of layered perovskite type La222xSr112xMn2O7, x50.3, are reported. The neutron diffraction data show that this compound undergoes a ferromagnetic transition at 100 K (Tc), but there is no antiferromagnetic signal as reported on a floating zone melt grown sample of the same nominal composition. The unit cell constants and cell volume f...
متن کاملExtractive metallurgy of rare earths
Although most of the rare earth metals were discovered in Sweden, the industrialisation started in the Austrian Empire. This was due to the fact that the Swedish chemist Jons Fridrik Bahr (1815–1875) from Uppsala went to Heidelberg in Germany in 1855 to analyse some rare earth minerals by the spectroscope discovered recently by chemistry professor Robert Bunsen (1811– 1899) and his colleague ph...
متن کاملNIR bacteriochlorin chromophores accessed by Heck and Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions on a tetrabromobacteriochlorin derivative.
The synthesis of a new tetrabromobacteriochlorin BCBr4 is reported having the 3,4-dibromo-1H-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde (10) as the major precursor. The BCBr4 was successfully employed in Pd cross-coupling reactions with methyl acrylate, phenyl acetylene and 4-ethynylanisole. In all three cases, the desired tetra-coupled products were obtained in good to excellent yields, and present a significant ...
